Sri Yoga Narsaimha Swamy and
Sri GopalaKrishna Devaru
According to the Hindu tradition, temples should undergo renovation every 12 years to fix all the damages caused to the structure due to continuous rituals and to expand the facilities in the temple for the convenience of the devotees.
Keeping up with this tradition, a renovation work is undertaken at Chintalwadi temple which is long overdue since Maha Kumbabhishekam in 2004. The renovation works will be carried out keeping the existing structures intact and maintaining the ancient look of the temple.
Since it is a major renovation there is an obvious need of significant funds to make it happen. We urge every devotee to contribute according to their might and make this initiative a grand success. May Lord Sri Yoga Narasimha bless one and all with lot of happiness, health and prosperity.
Following are the repair works undertaken
- Renovation of Gopuram
- Replace the flooring inside the Garbagudi
- Replace the flooring around the Prakara inside the temple
- Rebuild the kitchen within the temple
- Shift the toilets on the other side of the temple
- Build a new office room at the gate
- Rebuild the compound wall
- Undertake related Electrical and Plumbing works
Subsequent to the completion of renovation work Kumbabhishekam function is planned in the first quarter of 2020. Kumbabhishekam ritual is believed to homogenize, synergize and unite the mystic powers of the deity. The Kumbhabhishekam ceremony has everlasting effect on the entire society. The Aagama sastra says:
Sarvaroga nivirtyartham, sarva yaaga phalapradam,
Sarva sampathkaram nreenam putrapoutrabhi vardhanam
